Lincoln Food Pantry - St. Vincent de Paul

"Since we have such a small space at the pantry, we are not setting open times for people to come in for food, for safety reasons, but rather asking them to contact us so we can make arrangements to meet them, personally. In extreme cases we can deliver to them.

One of our volunteers delivers to homebound. I personally contact the client and compile a list of things they need and secure a time they will be there to receive the food. (I attach a list that can be used to make their order). Also, we are willing to contact the clients, make up bags for them with items on their list, and have them pick up these bags at the pantry at a designated time. If there is a big need for home deliveries, other volunteers will step in to help with this function. Every one of our volunteers has been CORI checked."

If you would like to help support the Lincoln Food Pantry, they are always accepting donations of food and funds.

To donate food

The Food Pantry receives approximately 4,000lbs of food from the Greater Boston Food Bank which stocks our shelves, but also fills our refrigerators and  freezers with meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, milk, yogurt, cheeses and much more.  In addition we receive approximately 1,000 lbs of vegetables. Because food is in high demand right now, we are low on some items. If you would like to support your neighbors in need, here are some suggestions of what you can add to your shopping list:

Progresso soup,

Pasta Sauce,

Cereals,

Jelly,

Mayonnaise,

Shelf-Stable Parmesan Cheese,

All donations are greatly appreciated.  Shelf stable items only and please make sure the food is within sell by date.

You will be served in an atmosphere of caring and mutual respect by friendly and understanding volunteers.

On your first visit, in order to register, you will need a government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport, and proof of where you live (such as a driver’s license or a utility bill). You will then be issued a food pantry ID Card. This along with your photo ID will be required at all future visits.

We offer not just nonperishable food items but also bread, eggs, dairy, frozen meat, and personal care products. In the summer we typically have fresh organic vegetables from local farms. Each time you use the pantry the products may change a little, but our clients generally leave with 7 or 8 large shopping bags of groceries. This is an open shelf pantry, meaning you choose the items you want.
